How it works
1. Point the camera
The code is decoded on the device. Nothing opens yet.
2. Read the destination
The full address, the owner and any known history against it.
3. Open it, or do not
Parking meters and restaurant menus are the two places fake codes turn up most.

Are QR codes dangerous
The code itself is just text. The risk is that you cannot see where it goes until you are already there, which is what makes a sticker over a real code effective.
