VPN
An encrypted tunnel that starts when it is needed
The VPN encrypts everything leaving the device, so an open network sees only that you are connected and nothing about where. It can start automatically whenever you join a network that is not encrypted.
How it works
1. Set it once
Choose to connect automatically on open networks, and it stops being something you have to remember.
2. Pick a location
Or leave it on automatic and take the fastest server available.
3. It stays on
If the tunnel drops, traffic stops rather than falling back to the open network.
Questions about this feature
Does the VPN slow my connection
Encryption adds a little latency. On a typical home connection the difference is not noticeable for browsing or video.
Do you keep logs of what I visit
No. Browsing history is never sold or shared, and the VPN is not there to collect it.
